Call for Finance for Social and Environmental Progress

The Ecological Accounting Chair, co-signatory of the Call for Social and Environmental Finance.

Launched by the collective "la Fabrique d’avenir" and published in La Tribune on Tuesday, January 21, the Appeal aims to condemn the excesses of the financial sector since the end of the 1970s and the drastic consequences for society and the environment.

This call therefore proposes the urgent emergence of "another kind of finance" based on new paradigms and new rules, in the service of progress that is above all social and environmental. The development of "ecological accounting, where investment and impact criteria would appear in the balance sheets, is described as a "priority".

The Appeal is being presented publicly this week at the OECD, as part of the 10th anniversary of the Parliament of Future Entrepreneurs.
